Scott Vivienne - Biography |
Vivienne has been involved in line dancing
for 15 years. About 10 years ago she started to choreograph
and has now written over 70 dances including Wishes,
Fiddlesticks, Jungle Rhythm, Turn
Me On, Dance Zone, One Heart,
No Tricks, Good To Me, Dont
Let Go, Ami Oh and Play The
Song. She has also co-written Cool, Soft
& Slow, On My Mind, Small Stuff
and Fool In Me with Fred Buckley and My Heart
Wont Let Go and Cry Baby with Fred and
Double Trouble. She wrote Long Gone! with Dee Musk
and Vera & Teresa, Our First Love with Fred, Kim
Ray & Robert Lindsay, Pirate On The Run with Kim
Ray, Do That Again? with Fred and Andrew & Sheila
and Forever Dancefloor and Sweet Little
Things with Andrew & Sheila. Vivienne has also
adapted a number of dances as partner dances. Seventeen of
her dances have been published in the Linedancer (UK), Up
Country (UK), BWDA (UK), and The Beat (New Zealand).
In addition, to her delight, Clap Your Hands was
nominated for Beginner Dance of the Year at the 2005
Vegas Dancers Choice Awards.
Vivienne has taught at events across Canada, the US, the UK,
Japan and Australia. She was honoured to be awarded the Dancers'
Choice Award for Female Instructor of the Year 2006, which
was presented at the Vegas Dance Explosion and nominated again
for the same award in 2007.
Vivienne set up her website called Stay In Line,
initially to allow a central location for Canadian line dance
instructors and dancers to find each other through the
Dance Class Listings. She started writing event
reports for Stay In Line, short stories, and then
began interviewing country singers, including Dierks Bentley,
Jason McCoy, the Road Hammers, Lisa Brokop, Sean Hogan, Jake
Mathews and most recently talented husband and wife duo, Joey+Rory.
Many of these reports and interviews have been published in the Linedancer,
Up Country and The Beat. They have also been
translated and featured in the French version of OnLinedancer.
Vivienne was honoured to be nominated for The Beat
Awards in 08 and 09; both years for International
Columnist and also for specific articles. Her latest
project has been a new website called Line Dance
Canada on which line dances written by Canadian
choreographers can be found.
Vivienne is also the co-organizer with Fred & Eddie Buckley
of two popular Workshops in Toronto; Let The Good Times
Roll
. at which Vivienne and Fred teach with invited
Canadian Instructors, and the Spring Workshop at
which they feature well known international instructors/choreographers.

Vivienne s'est éprise de la danse en ligne il y a 15 ans. En

Vivienne a aussi adapté plusieurs danses en chorégraphies pour

En plus de son succès déjà grand, sa danse 'Clap Yours Hands 'fut
nominée au Vegas Dancers Choice Awards comme danse de l'année
2005 pour débutants.
Vivienne a donné des ateliers de danses à travers le Canada,
aux Etats-Unis, en Grande Bretagne, au Japon et en Australie.
Elle fut récompensée, en 2006, par un award au Dancer's Choice
Award Female Instructor Of The Year et nominée, en 2007, au
Vegas Dance Explosion pour le même Award.
Vivienne lança initialement son site "Stay In Line"
afin de centraliser les coordonnées des instructeurs et danseurs
Canadiens et de leur donner ainsi la possibilité de s'y
retrouver dans la liste des "Dance Class".
Elle commence à écrire de petites histoires pour Stay In Line
et ensuite des interviews de chanteurs country tels que Dierks
Bentley, Jason McCoy, The Road Hammers, Lisa Brokop, Sean Hogan,
Jake Mathews et plus récemment du talentueux duo (mari et femme)
Joe+Rory.
Plusieurs de ces interviews ont été publiés dans le Linedancer
Magazine, le Up Country et dans The Beat. Ils ont aussi été
traduits pour la version française du Linedancer Magazine.
Vivienne a aussi été nominée pour The Beat Awards en 2008 et
2009 et ces mêmes années, pour des articles spécifiques, pour
l'International Columnist. Son dernier projet et de créer un
nouveau site "Line Dance Canada" sur lequel on trouvera
les danses écrites par des chorégraphes canadiens.
Vivienne est aussi coorganisatrice avec Fred & Eddie Buckley
de deux ateliers de danse très populaires à Toronto; "Let
The Good Times Roll ..." durant lequel Vivienne et Fred (ainsi
que d'autres instructeurs canadiens) enseignent des danses et
"Spring Workshop" où ils présentent des chorégraphes
internationaux de renom.
